Jones Motorsport’s Harri Jones and Ramu Farrell celebrate a strong start to the season at Round 1 of Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge in Phillip Island.

The 2024 Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge has kicked off with exhilarating action, with Jones Motorsport's Ramu Farrell emerging as a standout in the Pro-Am class. After two intense rounds, Farrell has consistently demonstrated his speed, skill, and determination, earning valuable points and solidifying his reputation as a formidable competitor.

 Round 1: Phillip Island

The season opener at Phillip Island saw Farrell deliver a series of impressive performances. In race one, he secured a second-place finish in the Pro-Am class, followed by a third-place finish in both race two and race three. This consistency throughout the weekend earned Farrell a second-place standing in the Pro-Am class, setting a strong foundation for the rest of the season.

 Round 2: The Bend, Adelaide

Round two at The Bend in Adelaide the team experienced the highs and lows of Motorsport. After Qualifying on Pole position for the second time this season, Ramu converted that to his first race win of the year. Showing once again exceptional speed and ability in all conditions, it was a great race and the first ever win in Porsche Motorsport Australia for Jones Motorsport. Ramu continued to battle for the win in Races 2 and 3. However, in the dying stages of both races, contact and car damage put him out of the race.

 Current Standings and Team Performance

After two rounds, Farrell sits in 4th position in the Pro-Am standings. Jones Motorsport, under the adept management of Harri Jones, also looks formidable within the Porsche Motorsport paddock. Harri Jones expressed his satisfaction with Farrell's performance, stating, "Ramu has done a great job so far this season. He's shown fantastic pace and for someone with such little racing experience, he has exceeded all expectations. Once we iron out the mistakes and he gets more races under his belt, he will be a true contender for the Championship."

 Looking Ahead

With two rounds completed and three more to go, Jones Motorsport and Ramu Farrell are poised for a thrilling and competitive season in the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge. Stay tuned for more updates as Farrell continues his journey in Porsche racing, aiming to further his standing and showcase his prowess on the track.
